Sherri grew up in Port Credit, Ontario, attending a First United Church as a pastor’s daughter. She gave her heart to Christ at the age of 17 and soon knew she was called into full-time ministry. Sherri pursued this call as she passionately developed a relationship with God. After graduating high school, Sherri moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Bible School in 1991.
After marrying Alan in 1991, she joined her husband on the pastoral staff at Harvest Family Church in Mississauga, Ontario. For over a decade and a half, Sherri has filled a multitude of roles at Harvest. She has preached in the services, taught classes, coordinated many events, and led the prayer ministry.
For the past 10 years, she has enjoyed being the director of HFC Kids. By 2007, she was leading over 170 volunteers who were making it one of the most successful children’s ministries in Ontario. Under her leadership, Harvest has become known as a place where kids love church and enjoy attending weekly with their parents. Parents have come to appreciate the great classes, the organizational excellence, and the utmost care given for each child’s safety and welfare.
For Sherri, being the mother of her two amazing children, Sam and Sydney, is her favorite role of all. Sherri looks forward to the new adventure that lies ahead at True North Church. For over 19 years, Sherri has enjoyed partnering with Alan in ministry,and she knows God is now calling their family to plant this new church in Milton.
